During each session, an individual gets to learn various concepts and techniques. Cognitive behavioral therapy is client focused. The client is not told what goals he or she should have and focus is on his or her own course. CBT is based on an educational model based on the premise that many emotional and behavioral reactions are leaned. Consequently CBT aims at helping individuals unlearn these goals. Lastly CBT is based on the inductive method which encourages rational thinking.
